Teams travel from Sendai and Okayama to Nagoya

 

Nagoya, Japan, September 2, 2015 – After the second round of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup in Sendai and Okayama, the teams travelled to the city of Nagoya to resume their campaign to win one of the two tickets to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The action at the Women’s World Cup will resume with the third round on Friday, September 4, with hosts Japan, Algeria, China, Dominican Republic, Russia and USA playing at the Nippon Gaishi Hall; and Argentina, Cuba, Peru, Kenya, Korea and Serbia playing at the Park Arena Komaki.

The final stretch of competition is expected to be a fascinating display of mental toughness, endurance and will to win until the final whistle. Currently, four teams – USA, Russia, China and Serbia  - are leading the standings with a 7-1 win-loss cards.
