· Nataliya Obmochaeva led the charge against Cuba. Her 15 points from spikes were more than twice as many as any other player produced in the match.
· Russia have claimed four of the five victories in straight sets and have only dropped sets against Japan in a 3-2 triumph on 23 August.
· Since taking part as Russia, the team has amassed 15 wins and one defeat. That one defeat came against Cuba in 1999.
Korea Republic· Last Thursday, Korea suffered a straight sets record against Serbia to see their record at this World Cup fall to two wins and three defeats.
· Their two wins in the tournament have come against teams with losing records, Peru (1-4) and Algeria (0-5).
· Mok-Hwa Baek will celebrate her 26th birthday on the day of the match.
