Peru coach Marasciulo says winning set in loss was important

 

Peru took one set against the Dominican Republic and coach Mauro Marasciulo thinks this is important for his team to improve in the future

Sendai, Japan, August 31, 2015 - Dominican Republic see-off Peru 3-0 in the second round of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup at the Sendai Gymnasium on Monday.

Dominican Republic coach Marcos Kwiek: "We have three more points which is important. Tomorrow we have a very important match with Korea and we will prepare well for it."

Dominican Republic captain Prisilla Rivera: We are happy to get three more points. We played well in this match. It was important for us to win this. We must improve in the match against Korea tomorrow."

Peru coach Mauro Marasciulo: "We know they have a lot of international experience. We took the third set which was meaningful for us. We played well against China and Japan but taking the set today is important. It was tough for us after playing the final match last night and the early one today. We are missing some young players and have some injuries."

Peru captain Mirtha Uribe: "We had some chances to win or get a better result today but we could not make it happen."
