Manabe plays full roster in victory while looking ahead to USA match

Nagoya, Japan, September 4, 2015 - Japan routed Algeria 3-0 tonight and coach Masayoshi Manabe played his entire roster in anticipation of Saturday's showdown with the USA.

Japan coach Masayoshi Manabe:. From the beginning I was going to play all the players. Our serves were running smoothly throughout the match. We played a practice match against the USA a while back, but at that time they were not in good condition. It won't be easy to beat the No. 1-ranked USA. It will take a long match and the players giving their best.

Algeria coach Henni Abdelhalim: The objective of the two teams tonight are different. Japan is trying to get a ticket to the Olympics, while Algeria is trying to gain experience. We hope by playing games like today that we get better in the next game.

Japan captain Saori Kimura: We came to Nagoya and the atmosphere is different here. Everybody got to play which will lead to tomorrow's performance.

Japan player Saori Sakoda: We have three game here including today. This was an important match. I was chosen as a starter and hope to contribute tomorrow. I wish I had scored more and played longer. I could have done more and better.

Japan player Yuki Ishii: It wss a lower-ranked team today. We won in straight sets and didn't lose too many points. We should have conceded even fewer points.

Algeria captain Silya Magnana: We played against a good team. Japan played very fast and it was difficult for us. Our first objective is to get experience and player better the next day.
