Argentina play Korea in Komaki

 

Head-to-head
·    Argentina and Korea Republic will meet for the fourth time in the World Cup, with Korea having won all previous three matches in straight sets.
·    They have met only once more in a major international tournament when they were both in group E of the 2011 World Grand Prix. Korea won in straight sets.

Argentina
·    Argentina have won four matches at the 2015 World Cup, a new team record. They won three in 2011.
·    Their 3-2 win against Peru on Friday was their first ever five-setter in the World Cup (48 matches). It was also their 10th win in a World Cup match.
·    Emilce Sosa was Argentina's top scorer in their last match against Peru, scoring 19 points (14 spikes, 4 blocks, 1 serve).

Korea

·    Korea Republic beat Kenya 3-0 on Friday and have now won their last two World Cup matches. They can win three in a row for the first time since 1999, when they beat Croatia, Tunesia and Peru.
·    It was Korea's third straight set victory this season. The last time they won more matches by a 3-0 score line was in 1999, six. In 2003, 2007 and 2011 they also won three matches in straight sets.
·    Yeon-Koung Kim scored a match-high 20 points in Korea's match against Kenya, eight points more than Korea's second-most prolific player Hee-Jin Kim (12).
