It is our great honour and pleasure to host the FIVB Volleyball World Cup 2015 once again in Japan. On the occasion of organising such a prestigious and traditional event, the Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) has been working hard on preparations to offer a fantastic event to the participating teams, the media and all volleyball fans.
The FIVB Volleyball World Cup 2015 is an outstanding volleyball competition with the participation of 24 of the world’s best teams (12 teams for each gender) competing for the title. For the first time, the top two men’s and women’s teams will automatically qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, with the exception of next year’s host, Brazil. . I am sure that every single team participating in the event will do so with extraordinary enthusiasm leading to some world-class exciting performances.
The FIVB Volleyball World Cup 2015, held from August through September, is a sizzling period in terms of temperature in Japan.
This summer, the tournament is set to make Japan hotter and more radiant. I hope that you will enjoy the world class volleyball action both at the venue and through TV.
