Terzic says their third set performance was the game-changer

The Serbian attackers gave a prolific performance in the third set that shifted the momentum to them against the Russians

Sendai, Japan, August 31, 2015 - Serbia made a brilliant effort to upset Russia 3-2 in the second round of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup in Sendai Gymnasium on Monday.

Serbia coach Zoran Terzic: "Congratulations to my team. We won against a strong opponent. We lost the first two sets. It is tough to beat Russia three sets in a row. We played without courage in the first two sets. We just started to play well in the third set. We took off from there and won. Tijana Malesevic played well today."

Serbia captain Maja Ognjenovic: "We are very satisfied to beat a strong opponent like Russia. It was tough to get back into the match after losing the first two sets. We weren't brave enough in the first two sets but I'm glad that we could win. We hope to continue like this in the next matches."

Serbia player Brankica Mihajlovic: "We knew it would be tough against Russia. They have tall and strong blockers. We might have been able to win this match earlier, but I'm happy either way. It was hard to come back and get the victory."

Russia coach Yury Marichev: "I have no words to say about what happened in this match."

Russia captain Ekaterina Kosianenko: "It was a good match. It became more difficult for us as the match went on. We have tough matches coming up, so we have to improve more."
