Emilce Sosa soars high for an attack against the Kenyan attackers at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup at Yoyogi National Stadium on Thursday
Tokyo, Japan, August 27, 2015 - Argentina took advantage of an erring Kenyan side to win 3-0 in the first round of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup at the Yoyogi National Stadium on Thursday.
Argentina coach Guillermo Orduna: "I'm happy we could win today. We were able to concentrate and play carefully today. We wanted to focus on our techniques, starting from our service."
Argentina captain Emilce Sosa: "One of our goals was to play well, like we did today. We want to continue to improve so we can play at a higher level. On a personal note, I train at blocking every day. I'm not a tall player in volleyball but I have the ability to jump high. I am happy I am able to show my ability in this tournament."
Kenya coach David Lungaho: "We played badly. We didn't have good mental strength today. We were not as prepared as expected. After five matches in Tokyo I think the players are fatigued. We want to win at least one match in Okayama.
Kenya captain Brackcides Khadambi: "We will keep on fighting until we get a win."
