Argentina and Peru will play the final match of the South American playoff
Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, June 7, 2015 - Argentina and Peru will play the final match of the South American FIVB Volleyball World Japan Qualifier, with their places in Japan already guaranteed. Both teams stand undefeated, after overcoming Colombia and Chile respectively on Saturday.
Argentina defeated Colombia 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-22) and Peru celebrated a rapid win against Chile 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-13).
Emilse Sosa topped scoring for Argentina with 12 points, followed by Julieta Lazcano with 10, while for the visiting team Cindy Ramírez also scored 12.
Las Panteras had the best statistics in all skills: 34-29 (spiking), 10-8 (blocking) and 8-1 (serving).
Peru's high-scoring players were Angela Leyva with 17 points, followed by Maguilaura Frias with 12, while Chile's Marina Salinas closed with 10.
